đš Sarasota County submitted an emergency dredging plan this spring
đš The federal government put it on hold, requesting a full review
đš That means no work will begin until after hurricane season
đ§ Crews have cleared over 1,000 cubic yards from key areas and repaired
nearby ditchesâbut itâs not the full fix.
The silver lining?
đď¸ The county is forming a new Stormwater Department to prioritize funding, focus, and long-term solutions.
